We farewell Dylan Martin from the MemNet team, who has moved on to bigger and better things. Having joined us in late 2019, Dylan showed great resilience having to work in isolation shortly after joining us.
We now welcome a new staff member, Sue James, to our Support Team. Sue has been known to the support team for many years, having worked previously for one of our clients. Sue brings not only her existing knowledge of MemNet to the team, but also her experience as a staff member within a national association.
Minor Pro Editor Changes on 26th
On Monday April 26 the text editor inside the MemNet Pro editor email editor will be upgraded to a new version. Your application will receive this upgrade straight away - no action is needed on your part. You will notice a few changes to the look and available features, but these changes will not affect your existing use of the service.
The new features include:
- a collapsible floating toolbar, for focused writing and improved user experience
- copying and pasting bold and italic styles, plus bullet/numbered lists
- emoji keyboard
- direct access from the toolbar to Content dialogs for Merge tags and Special links
We are about to release MemNet Version 3.5.1. This version includes several enhancements that have been developed based on requests from our clients. These developments are explained below. They have been extensively tested before release, but if you do encounter any problems please let us know.
Two Factor Authentication and New Login Screen
In the new version of MemNet the login page has been updated, so don't be alarmed if MemNet looks different in the next few months. Once you have this new version you can set up two factor authentication (2FA) for your account. MemNet uses the Google Authenticator App for supplying your 2FA codes. As a system admin you can see if all your users have implemented 2FA on their accounts. You can update a setting to show your users a warning message after logging in if they have not implemented 2FA.
Speakers: You can now set up multiple speakers for an event. Each speaker can include the name, postnominals, job title, short bio, long bio and a profile picture.
More Images: You can now upload 3 Images, 3 Documents, and a certificate template per event, which are made available to event attendees in member self service. We have grouped these into a new section of an event called Assets.
Event Program: You can now record an event program against your event. Each program item contains a start and end date/time, presenter, stream, room and description.
Categories: You can now use product categories in the online shop. Set these up under System Configuration > Products > Manage Categories so products can be assigned to them. Edit individual products to assign them to the relevant categories.
Product Pages: Visitors to the Shopping Cart are also able to filter products by category. You can also link directly to a product page.
Subscription Discount Enhancements
Currently you can allocate a discount to be applied if the subscription is renewed before it is due. In the upcoming version you can now also allocate a discount a configurable number of days before or after the subscription is due.
We would love to welcome the new clients who have joined MemNet so far this year.
